Tim Christie is a multi disciplinary artist who explores the dialogue between precise technical aesthetics and the natural symmetry of the human face, bridging geometric design and anatomy.
As the stars of Matariki and Puanga rise in the sky, we pause to recognise the significance of this celebration within our communities. We are dedicated to deepening our knowledge and understanding of Matariki traditions.
Borrowed Earth have created a special collection in honour of Matariki that incorporates whakataukī along with images of ancestors, guardians and whetū.
"We honour those which we have lost since the last rising of Matariki, give thanks for what we have and look forward to the new year and the promise it holds for us all. This year Richie is looking forward to welcoming Matariki on his Marae in Ruatoria. For us Matariki is a time of reflection and stillness another cycle is beginning."
