Anna Gedson is of Ngāti Rua Whakatohea descent, and her work is inspired by her cultural heritage and the beauty of traditional Māori arts. Combining natural materials such as flax, feathers, and metals, she creates contemporary works that honour tradition while presenting each piece as a precious taonga (treasure).
