Anna Gedson

Anna draws inspiration from her Māori heritage.

Anna loves working with a combination of natural materials such as flax, feathers, and metals, presenting each piece of artwork as a precious taonga (treasure). Born and raised in Ōpōtiki, she is a descendant of Ngāti Rua – Whakatohea.

Anna is a well-established Māori artist, exhibiting her work in a number of design stores and galleries throughout Aotearoa after studying her craft in Wellington. Her work has been included in many national and local exhibitions, and she has been a finalist in both the Waikato Museum No. 8 Wire Exhibition and the Molly Morpeth Canaday 3D Award Exhibition.
