Taranaki knit stitch pattern is inspired by the conical form of the majestic Taranaki Maunga (Mt Taranaki). Starting as a hand-knit slip stitch sample it is translated into a digitally knit textile.

Knit Shepherd's designs take inspiration from the natural world of Aotearoa. The patterns are inspired by locations throughout the motu and the colours names reference our native fauna. All Knit Shepherd designs are produced locally, employing a low-waste process.
