Punakaiki is a town on the West Coast of the South Island where amazing pancake rock formations are found. The lines of these layered rocks inspired this garter-stitch pattern.

Knit Shepherd's designs take inspiration from the natural world of Aotearoa. The patterns are inspired by locations throughout the motu and the colours names reference our native fauna. This collection is made using camel down fibre that is spun here in Aotearoa which is a luxurious fibre that is very warm while being light and bouncy.

All Knit Shepherd designs are produced locally, employing a low-waste process.
