Flotilla Series
'Flotilla started with been given a tiny piece of old boat washed up on Aramoana Spit [Otago], which consisted of a water worn wood with a copper nail sticking out giving some sense of a mast and I mounted on a piece of clay. It gave a sense of a sea faring vessel tossed a round in the sea of life.
They turned out to being mounted on wheels which is a component that keeps recurring in my work from time to time.

Boats referred to being vessels also carries a sense of spirit…' - Blue Black
