Alex Wilkinson is captivated by patterns - in clothing, fabric, and especially in ceramics. Her passion for creating patterns with clay has deepened her love for the medium, infusing her practice with a sense of playfulness and vibrant colour. The labour intensive yet beautifully imperfect art of painting patterns through the nerikomi process has become a central focus of her work.

The Spotty Collection represents years of dedication and experimentation. After mastering stripes, Alex was determined to figure out how to create spots. Through countless trials and errors, and a pivotal conversation that sparked an idea, Alex has succeeded. Each cup in the collection celebrates the playful charm, vibrant energy, and delightful unpredictability of the nerikomi process, bringing joy to both the maker and the user.
