He waka eke noa
~ We are all in this together
Literally translated, this whakatauki (proverbial saying) is ‘The canoe in which we all are in without exception’
Metaphorically the waka is on a journey. Under the guidance and following the direction of its leader, the group works together with a shared purpose, with trust in each other, to ensure the success of all.

Aotearoa inspired, works are often illustrations of whakataukī (Māori proverbs) or waiata (Māori songs).
The words are wise and up-lifting and they give a beautiful feeling to the art of love, hope and self-worth - a positive message, to gift yourself or another.
