Talkative Tomtit is inspired by Hannah’s photograph of a tomtit (miromiro) taken on Moturua Island in the Bay of Islands. The bird is perched on puawananga (clematis), a native New Zealand plant known for its beautiful clusters of white flowers. The title celebrates the tomtit’s distinctive birdsong and curious nature, often allowing it to venture close to people.
