Present isn't a point in time. It's everything happening at once. The stones collide like moments that refuse to stay in order, memories, possibilities, chance encounters. There is no perfect sequence, only the richness of now. Handcrafted in solid precious metal, this sculptural ring is a reminder that the most meaningful paths are rarely linear.
Part of the Wandering Collection, this piece explores the idea that nothing meaningful follows a perfectly straight path. Things collide, change direction and find their place along the way. This ring embraces that unpredictability: raw, imperfect and completely individual.
Leah Firth's work has an organic quality and is largely process driven, with cast-in-place being a key method in her practice. This relatively new technique aligns with the brand ethos of ‘going with the flow’ and embracing imperfection and misalignment, drawing inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi. From designing and mould making through to preparation, casting and finishing, each piece is the result of a time-honoured metalsmithing process with a fresh new twist.
