Residing in Taranaki, Auckland born and Wellington trained artist Vicky Lord is a curious creative using painting and design on a daily basis to communicate and connect with others. 

Vicky’s current body of work explores what lies below. An uncovering of truth, a challenge to the status quo and a discovery of symbiotic inner workings beneath the surface. Amidst the biomorphic forms and organic mark making of her poetically rendered abstract works we see botanical references, including coral like forms. Vicky’s works and her working process is a careful choreography and a celebration of light and life. A painterly exposè of hidden worlds and micro-climates, of mankind’s impact, and of hope for new direction.
