The Koruru is traditionally carved in wood and placed at the gable of a wharenui (meeting house). Often depicted as a stylised face with large owl-like eyes, it represents the guardian figure of the ancestral house.
Crafted from full-grain black leather, this notebook is made to age gracefully, softening and developing character with every use.
Included are the French-made A5 lined notebook and wooden pencil which are both easily replaceable, ensuring years of use. A handy card slot adds practicality, while the minimalist leather tab closure tucks neatly into place—perfect for those who appreciate clean, thoughtful design.
