Hand blown Dodici Vase

Mattew Hall's Dodici vases were inspired by the way light and shadows play with angles. The colourful vases are blown into a 12 sided optic mould before more air is blown into them extending their balloon like bellies. 'Dodici' refers to the Italian word for the number twelve.

Matthew is passionate about making minimal, utilitarian and technically focused glass art inspired by mid-century design. He explores and plays with glass density, optic effects and colour creating fluid pieces of sculpture and serve-ware.
