In crafting these handmade cups, Leigh Anderton-Hall draws inspiration from her summer camping experience at Oakura, Taranaki away from her home in the Whanganui Region. Using the slab technique, each cup is uniquely shaped and adorned with hand-painted designs. Her choice of underglazes and a blend of matte and gloss glazes reflects the diverse textures and colours of the natural landscape that surrounded her. These cups are not just functional objects but reflect summer fun of strawberries, beach swims, to the dark moody rocks found on beach walks. Each piece captures a moment of tranquillity and artistic exploration, merging traditional ceramic methods with the spontaneous spirit of a camping holiday.
Please note there may be slight variations in size and design due to each piece being individually handmade
