He works with the belief that art is a craft based tool for the study of consciousness. Tim has been drawn to European folk art lately for its straightforward worship of nature integrated into daily life and ritual. The plain, patient crafting that transforms the material and content into symbolical visual language has influenced the crafting process for this body of work.

The ceramics are all hand worked individually, with a surface produced using two thumb tools and a needle tool. Tim doesn't use casting as he prefers how the repetition of shaping and marking gives him a deep dive into the forms and produces no two pieces the same.
