Paul Maseyk is celebrated for his remarkable range as a ceramic artist, creating everything from beautifully considered domestic ware to boldly illustrated sculptural works. Since completing his Diploma in Ceramic Design and Production at Whanganui in 1997, Paul has had the privilege of working alongside many of New Zealand’s most respected potters, including Barry Brickell and Ross Mitchell Anyon. These formative experiences helped shape the distinctive approach that now defines his practice.
His work is held in major public collections throughout Aotearoa, including Te Papa Tongarewa, The Dowse Art Museum and the Auckland War Memorial Museum, a reflection of his enduring contribution to contemporary ceramics.
