Michele Irving is a textile artist who works primarily with fabric, incorporating embroidery, paint, and beads into her creations. She is drawn to textiles for their versatility, vibrant colour range, and the connection they give her to previous generations, her great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother were all stitchers, and it was her mother who taught her first sewing skills.

The themes of her work often centre on animals, blending myths and fairytales with playful wordplay. Her creatures inhabit a whimsical world where they dream, dance, and celebrate life.
