Jen Hung

Greenstone Artist

"My designs are inspired by listening to music that help me see flowing lines that I translate into abstract images".

Jen Hung studied art history at University. Living and working in Ross on the West Coast of the South Island, Jen furthered her studies at Tai Poutini Polytechnic in Jade and hard stone carving. It is here where she realised she had found a 'true passion'.

Her designs are inspired by listening to music that helps her see flowing lines that she translates into abstract images of the natural landscape, plant, landforms and water currents. She is also influenced by her Chinese background and Maori art.

All Jen’s greenstone is sourced from New Zealand’s West Coast rivers close to where she lives.
