While myself and 2 mates got to enjoy the fruits of this magic bay, surfing the crystal deep blue waters.
With almost mechanical wave lines that peeled towards the rocky beach.
Cloud formations that describe the unseen shape of Mt Taranaki, that loop the sky above like a stone dropped into water causing ripple waves in the sky…
With the only sounds, (apart from our cheers and laughter), were of the waves crashing over the rocks and the whistling songs of the Riroriro (Grey Warbler) bird singing along the grassy, rocky shoreline.
The only thing I can take away from this magic place is the memories and my artistic desire to paint and capture it as best I can...' Rob Barrington
