Taranaki-based potters Lynn and Mike Spencer have been creating pottery full time since 1973. Their kitchenware and tableware offer a distinctive interpretation of traditional forms and techniques. While much of their work is wheel-thrown, they also explore press-moulding and hand-building to bring variety and texture to their pieces.They strive to produce work that is uniquely their own, yet firmly rooted in the evolving tradition of functional pottery. Their practice encourages the appreciation and everyday use of handmade ceramics, celebrating the beauty of craftsmanship in daily life.
