Rob Barrington is an established New Zealand artist whose career spans over three decades in the sign and design industry. Now fully dedicated to his art, he draws on a lifetime of creative exploration, weaving memories and experiences into evocative compositions inspired by both urban and natural landscapes. Working across media including pen and ink, coloured pencil, acrylic, pastel, and digital formats, Rob’s practice reflects his rich background as an artist, surfer, musician, and designer.
Rob Barrington's Nga Taonga Series serves as a reflection of the treasures of Aotearoa. They capture its rich history and his personal connection to the stories and the iconic landscapes that define our nation.
With this series, Robs aim to highlight the importance of conservation for our native fauna and the preservation of our country's history, urging us to be grateful for our connection to this beautiful land and to consider its wellbeing.
