Julie Hoskin-Brandt's inspiration for her new ring collection, 'You'll Find Me at the Beach' comes from the texture of sand and the colours of the sea. She is captivated by the interplay of light on water and the intricate patterns created in the sand by the wind or the sea.
Julie has been using new techniques including sand casting and reticulation of sterling silver. These both bring textural interest of sand and undulations of the sea. 

'I am absolutely addicted to the process of making jewellery - from creating a design concept, applying it to a piece of metal, forming it, using fire, texture and at times, adorning with semi-precious gems to create a unique piece. I love the flash of colour as light passes through a gem; the shimmering reflection of light as it hits textured metal.
My ultimate aspiration is to create visually appealing jewellery, with meaningful design, which elicits an emotional connection to the wearer.' - Julie Hoskin-Brandt
