A Lot on Her Plate draws inspiration from Stephen Fry’s Mythos and the enduring influence of Greek mythology and language on our modern world. The painting represents the five kingdoms of living things, with animals and plants depicted openly, while Monera, Protista and fungi appear on the ginger jar held by the mother.
