Moana (blue) harakeke (flax) weaving by Coromandel weaver Bernadette Ross
970mm Diameter
I loved fishing as a child and it was such a treat to be allowed to go. More recently I used to go fishing at the end of a fine warm day with an elderly friend in their boat. We would sit patiently on “ the spot” and wait till the sun went down . During that light fade, the water would go thru every shade of blue to almost purple . Then the fish would come!!! So I had to weave that water!!
