Aroha nui is influenced by Jessica Scott Petersen's love for Pacifica and Māori pattern and design. The shape is also slightly 70’s inspired (because of her love of everything 1970’s from the architecture, hairstyles and fashion)

Jessica loves creating meaningful, uniquely beautiful New Zealand art works which include, unique patterns, NZ nature, seascapes, bird life, flora & fauna. Her style is highly detailed whilst also being uncluttered. Her work has a quality of purity, lightness & honesty to it. She seeks to capture the essence of the scene/subject in her work and portrays the elements with unique clarity. 

Being of English and Fijian decent and growing up in NZ Jessica's is passionate about New Zealand seascapes, birdlife, flora, fauna with family connections & cultures being brought into focus.
