Kotuku Feather Earrings
Kotuku (New Zealand White Heron) are slender and graceful native birds with clean white feathers. Historically, Kotuku were seen as beautiful and rare in Maori culture, and to compare someone to this elegant bird was a great compliment.
Kotuku Feather Earrings:
Sterling silver feathers (almost 3cm long), handpainted with opalescent white porcelain paint, and detailed with two tiny koru. Hanging from sterling silver earhooks. Very slim, delicate and lightweight.
Not for everyday wear. Each feather is individually handpainted, so no two are identical.
Reversible (unpainted polished silver on the other side).
