They serve as mirrors for our collective desires: the wish for guidance, the need for protection, and the yearning for something larger than the instability of human institutions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eTanya Blong's extensive overseas travel has enriched and informed the direction of her work. She is interested in society at leisure and the act of being idle, exploring not only the sensory aspect of this state of being, but also how leisure has evolved throughout history and what it looks like for people today.
