Locke Jean-Luc Unhold has been working in clay since 2017, starting with night classes and moving to the NZDAD in Ceramics. Unhold's recent work encompasses functional and sculptural methods and ideas. The strange Muppet-like creatures - "friends" as they are now called - have been a central theme in his work for the past few years, taking on ever more cartoonish stylings. He currently works as the ceramics technician at the Dunedin School of Art.
