Limited Edition Domestos Porcelain Cast bottle pigmented in the sunshine colours of Hawkes Bay and reflective of the heritage shades of Art Deco architecture. The pale forms are evocative of past era of pastille domestic bliss.
Domestos was first produced in 1929 by Wilfrid Augustine Handley (1901–1975), a dentist from Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England, and was sold door-to-door by salesmen who refilled stoneware jars bought by the customers. In 1961 the company was acquired by Lever Brothers.
Each vase is unique as it is hand cast in fine porcelain and coloured with raw pigments. The exterior has a beautiful matt finish and the interior is sealed with a clear glaze. Perfect sculptures to display in series.
Each piece is numbered and limited to an edition of 100 per colour
