Blue Black's method of making is ripping and squishing which gives these works a rocky stone sort of sense to them. Which lead on to thinking about the cartoon The Flintstones in the 60's and 70's...Barney and Betty Rubble the neighbour's. The cups look like bits of rock fused together with a sense of rubble. The Flintstones lived in a suburb called Bedrock. Hence the title is the Bedrock Series.
