Kowhai teatowel

The Kowhai Tree is a favourite in New Zealand’s gardens. It was once abundant on the edges of the Waikato river. These are popular trees for the Tui and Kereru native birds in New Zealand. A beautiful yellow flower that is tricky to draw! After flowering the tree produces seed pods that contain 6 or more yellow seeds. The flowering of the Kowhai tree is often our sign that spring has come at last.

This tea towel is  made from long lasting hemp and organic cotton. You will love the feel of the cloth, many people say it reminds them of how fabric used to feel when they touched their grandmothers linen. The patterns are a modern take on tradition that are familiar, fun, iconic and daring.

Designed and made in New Zealand.
