Many stories are told and problems solved over a cup of tea! Angie's paintings for 2016 were inspired from moments in history. Angie believes pictures speak louder than words, so she invites you to ponder over the images and she hopes they initiate some conversation and perhaps even your own historical stories.
“Deeds not words “In 1893 New Zealand became the first country in the world to allow women to vote. Kate Sheppard and Meri Mangakahia, were both New Zealand suffragettes. The camellia flower also appears on the 10 dollar note next to Kate Shepherd and were given to members of parliament who supported the suffrage bill (the flower is however white on the ten dollar note).
