Mamunk was founded by Margot van den Munckhof as she loves working with clay to sculpt beautiful forms and unique pieces to treasure. Born in Hawkes Bay which is known as the ‘Sunshine Capital’ and was equally famous as the ‘Fruitbowl of New Zealand’ with it’s annual blossom festival. Her adoption of pale citric shades combined with scented shades of rose, lavender and sky blues are reflective of this landscape. The famous art deco architecture of Napier is clearly imbued in her works and her colour palette.
