Blue Black's Absence Observes series has a domestic sense of things with a lamp, televisions and chairs. And the method of making; ripping and squashing and pushing the clay around using knifes to butter and cutting and connecting the bits of clay using forks and knifes.
Black’s chairs - having strong characteristics to them - stand on their own without the necessity of filling the seats with figures. It leaves an airy sense of absence.
