Artist - Jenny Pullar

My love of textiles began when my needlework teacher showed me the techniques of free style machine embroidery. From then on I was hooked.

I gained a DipHE in textile arts while studying for teacher training. I worked as a primary school teacher in the UK before moving to New Zealand in 1998. It is only in the last few years that I have needle felted and find it calming and therapeutic. My inspiration comes from whatever interests me at the time, maybe a bird or a fox and my love of British wildlife. There is a fascination about producing a three dimensional object out of sheeps wool and a barbed needle.
