Deborah Walsh

Deborah is a Nelson sculptor and jeweller who works with primal and seasonal materials that people relate to on an archetypal level. These include willow, supplejack, flax and old man’s beard.

After she graduated from the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology in Visual Arts she spent three months studying the ancient craft of basket making in the United Kingdom in 2000 and has taken part in the Nelson symposium twice.

Deborah is renowned around New Zealand and internationally.
