The Fantail has many different Māori names. As well as tīwaiwaka, it is commonly called pīwakawaka, tīwakawaka or tīrairaka. A fidgety person is described as a Fantail’s tail, because of the bird’s restless movements.
Using the lost wax casting method this wall mounted glass Fantail is set with a screw fitting ready to fit into any wall. Wall anchor is required.
