The Rock Wren

The rock wren or tuke

(xenicus gilviventris)

A small reclusive bird, rock wrens are restricted to small pockets of the South Island’s high country. They are poor fliers, nest on the ground and are   easy targets for predators. These endemic birds have very large feet and no tail which makes them excellent rock climbers.

This new collection allows me to explore the fun there is to be had with language, symbolism and entrenched beliefs in a quirky, humorous way.

The giclee fine art reproduction is printed on 340gsm cotton rag acid free paper using archival inks. It is recommended to frame the print and hang away from direct sunlight.
