This well crafted screenprint is based on Michael Smither's childhood experiences playing with leaves.
He states: "As a child I enjoyed arranging leaves on the concrete steps leading to our front door in Buller Street, New Plymouth. There was a cotonester tree next door that shed leaves throughout the year offering a wide spectrum of coloured leaves to play with".
"This is a revision of a 1994 print exploring the relationship of colours to shapes".
This screenprint has been produced using inks with UV inhabitors in the pigment to increase longevity.
